Impact Week

Matthew 25:34-36 – “Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. 35 For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, 36 I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’”
This year’s Impact Week will take place April 24-May 3, and our goal is to bless our community with the light and love of Jesus through a variety of service projects and supportive interaction. We hope to have over 400 members of BSCC sign up to participate in at least one of over 15 projects we have available throughout these 10 days of service. In these 10 days, we’ve got multiple opportunities for people of all ages and abilities to serve, share, and shine the light of Jesus to others. We’ve got physical work, social work, donations, and drives. You can do things behind the scenes, or you can take the stage. You can cook, clean, gather, donate, distribute, assemble, sort, or build. And we’ve got projects going on every day! We hope to do a lot of good during Impact Week, and we hope you’ll join us in serving our community. Which one will you participate in? How can you serve? Who will you impact?

Impact Week Shirts

Help us share the light and love of Jesus by wearing your own Impact Week shirt while we serve! It will be a unifying way to connect everyone to our mission and also a great way to share what BSCC is all about! We have a limited number of shirts from past years available at the Connection Point on Sunday mornings. Get yours while you can!

Respite Night

Friday, April 24 6:00-9:00pm at the BSCC Student Worship Center

One of the best ways we can help families of special need kids is to offer them a night where they can relax on their own. You can help us provide a safe, fun environment for these kids while their parents take the night off! We’ll have lots of activities and snacks for everyone. We just need volunteers to help us keep things running smoothly! (All volunteers for this project need to be age 13 or over and will have to undergo a background check.)

We will change their oil and filters for free, perform a basic maintenance check, and make recommendations on any issues we discover. We also need some hosts to visit with those dropping off their cars, and some volunteers interested in playing with any kids. If you’d like to volunteer for any of those options, please sign up on this page! (If you want to sign up to have your car inspected, please visit the Events page at BSCC to sign up there.)

God’s Bucket Brigade

Cards Of Encouragement

Sunday, April 26 – 8:00am-12:30pm in the BSCC Connection Point

Help us minister to incarcerated inmates by writing notes of encouragement to the men and women through Christian Prison Ministry. CPM shares the gospel with inmates every week, encourages them in their faith, and equips them for re-entry into society with sound, biblical tools and resources. If you would like to write a few notes of encouragement for an inmate, pick up some cards at the Connection Point on Sunday, April 26, and return them the following Sunday, May 3. There are specific guidelines you need to follow, and they will be available with the cards. (Or if you prefer, make or purchase your own cards and bring them to the church on Sunday, May 3.)

When people see them, they are reminded of the truth on the rock and are blessed! You can make a few or a lot, and this is a great project for families to do before or after Sunday services. There’s no need to sign up for this event, just show up and create!

Hope House Birthday Boxes
