BSCC’s Faith & Football League
Get ready for some friendly competition this football season with BSCC’s Faith & Football League!
FFL is a church-wide fantasy football League of Leagues where participants will compete within individual leagues for prizes and bragging rights. Each league will crown its own champion, and those League Champions will advance to compete for the title of FFL Grand Champion.
Whether you’ve played fantasy football for years or this is your first season, everyone is welcome. There is no cost to play, and FFL is a great opportunity to have fun, meet people, build community, and enjoy the NFL season together.

How the FFL Works
After registration closes, participants will be divided into multiple fantasy football leagues based on the total number of registrations.
Each league will consist of approximately 8-10 teams. All FFL leagues will have the same number of teams and will use identical scoring, roster, waiver, trade, and playoff settings to keep competition consistent across the entire FFL.
Each individual league will crown a League Champion and award an individual league prize. Those champions will then advance to the FFL Grand Championship for a chance to become the overall champion of BSCC’s Faith & Football League. There will be other prizes for various participants at the end of the season as well.
Platform
All leagues will be hosted for free through ESPN Fantasy Football.
Participants will need a free ESPN account and access to ESPN Fantasy through the ESPN Fantasy Sports app or website.
League assignments and invitations will be sent after registration closes.
League Format

Starting Lineup
Each team will start:
1 QB 2 RB 2 WR 1 TE 1 FLEX (RB/WR/TE) 1 K 1 D/ST
Each roster will also include 6 bench positions and 1 IR position.
FFL will use Full PPR (Points Per Reception) scoring. Players receive 1 fantasy point for every reception, in addition to points earned through yards, touchdowns, field goals, defensive performance, and other standard ESPN scoring categories.
FFL Draft Day
Sunday, August 30
Doors Open: 1:30 PM Draft Begins: 2:00 PM
Grab lunch after church and then come back for the FFL Draft. Snacks and drinks will be provided, but a full lunch will not be served.
All individual FFL leagues will draft during our FFL Draft Day, with each league conducting its own separate draft through ESPN.
The draft will use a traditional Snake Draft format. Managers will have 90 seconds per selection, and each league's draft order will be randomized one hour before the draft begins.
Please plan for the draft to take approximately 2 to 2½ hours.
If you are unable to attend Draft Day in person, you may still participate and draft remotely through ESPN, or you can have it auto-draft your team if you’re unable to attend either in person or virtually.
Waivers and Player Acquisitions
FFL will use ESPN's Waiver system throughout the season.
There is no season acquisition limit, allowing managers to add and drop players as needed.
Players placed on waivers will have a one-day waiver period.
Waiver priority will reset each week to the inverse order of the league standings, giving teams lower in the standings higher waiver priority.
Once players clear waivers, eligible free agents may be added normally.
Players in starting lineups will lock individually at their scheduled NFL game time.
Trades
Trading is encouraged as part of fantasy football strategy, and there is no limit on the number of trades a team may complete.
The FFL trade deadline is:
November 25, 2026 at 12:00 PM CST
Trades will have a one-day review period and will be reviewed by the League Commissioner of each league. There will be no league-wide voting on trades.
League Commissioners should allow trades to proceed unless there is reasonable evidence of collusion, roster dumping, or deliberate manipulation of league competition.
A trade appearing uneven or being considered a "bad trade" is not, by itself, grounds for a veto.
Questionable trades may be referred to the FFL Commissioner for a final ruling.
Regular Season and Playoffs
The FFL regular season will run through Week 14 of the NFL season.
The top four teams from each individual league will advance to the playoffs.
Week 15: League Semifinals
#1 Seed vs. #4 Seed #2 Seed vs. #3 Seed
The winners advance to their individual League Championship.
Week 16: League Championship
The semifinal winners compete for their individual league title.
Each winner will be crowned a FFL League Champion, receive their individual league prize, and advance to the FFL Grand Championship.
Week 17: FFL Grand Championship
Every individual League Champion will compete during Week 17 for the overall FFL championship.
League Champions will continue using the roster that earned them their individual league championship. Their Week 17 fantasy performance will then be compared with the champions from the other FFL leagues.
The League Champion with the highest Week 17 fantasy score will be crowned the:

Week 18 will not be used for championship competition.
Fair Play and Competitive Integrity
All FFL participants are expected to compete fairly and remain active throughout the season.
Each participant may manage only one team within an individual FFL league. A participant may not control or make roster decisions for another team within the same league.
Collusion is prohibited. Managers must make trades, waiver claims, lineup decisions, and other transactions with the intention of improving their own team's competitive position.
Managers may not intentionally drop players for another manager to acquire, intentionally lose games to manipulate playoff positioning, cycle players through waivers to prevent another manager from acquiring them, or otherwise manipulate league mechanics to benefit or harm another team.
Roster dumping is prohibited. Managers are expected to continue fielding a competitive lineup even if they have been eliminated from playoff contention.
If a team becomes abandoned or inactive for an extended period, the FFL Commissioner reserves the right to take appropriate action to protect the competitive integrity of the league, including assigning a replacement manager when necessary.
Sportsmanship and Conduct
FFL is designed to create community through friendly competition.
Trash talk, rivalries, and having fun with other managers are welcome, but participants are expected to represent BSCC well throughout the season.
Personal attacks, threats, discriminatory or derogatory language, inappropriate team names, profanity, or other inappropriate behavior will not be permitted.
Repeated or serious violations of FFL rules or conduct expectations may result in removal from the league.
League Commissioners
Brian Horn will serve as the FFL Commissioner, overseeing BSCC’s Faith & Football League as a whole and helping ensure consistency and fairness between all individual leagues.
Each individual FFL league will also have a volunteer League Commissioner.
League Commissioners will help manage their individual ESPN league, communicate important information, assist participants with basic questions, monitor trades and league activity,
maintain competitive integrity, and communicate with the FFL Commissioner when rulings are needed.
All individual leagues will follow the same FFL rules. Individual League Commissioners may not independently change scoring, roster, waiver, trade, draft, or playoff settings.
When a situation is not specifically addressed by the FFL rules, the FFL Commissioner may make a ruling in the best interest of fairness, consistency, and competitive integrity across all leagues.
